In this hybrid role, you will take ownership of our Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions, while also providing comprehensive support to Metacoreans in both Helsinki and Berlin offices alongside a small team of IT professionals.

Responsibilities

IT & Security Specialist plays a key role in managing our MDM and EDR solutions to enable us to defend against vulnerabilities and potential threats. In practice, this means (at least) the following:

  • Taking ownership of our EDR and MDM solution, and serving as the primary point of contact for its management and administration

  • Regularly updating and optimizing EDR and MDM policies and configurations to align with industry best practices and organizational needs

  • Conducting regular assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements

  • Collaborating with the IT lead to plan, configure, and manage Zero Trust and SIEM solutions for enhanced endpoint security

  • Configuring and maintaining the IAM solution together with the the team

  • Providing timely technical support and troubleshooting assistance to Metacoreans for hardware, software, and network-related issues

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining workstations, software, and peripheral devices to ensure optimal performance and reliability

  • Ensuring security updates are up-to-date across all systems and devices to protect against vulnerabilities and potential threats

Requirements

Here are some of the key skills and experience you should already have when joining Metacore as a IT & Security Specialist:

  • Strong knowledge of Information Security, Information Technology, or related fields

  • Proven history in managing or administrating MDM and EDR solutions in an enterprise environment

  • Familiarity with MDM tools such as Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, or Jamf

  • Experience with EDR solutions like CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, or SentinelOne

  • Knowledge of Windows, MAC and Linux operating systems

  • Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) solutions

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues

  • A stellar customer service mentality

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels

In addition to these, it would be nice but not mandatory for you to have these as well:

  • Familiarity with Google Workspace

  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and networking
