Relocating to Helsinki with Metacore
We offer hands-on support across every key step of your move, helping you and your family transition smoothly, get settled fast, and start enjoying both your new role and life in Helsinki.

Immigration process
Our third party relocation service partner will help you and your family through your immigration process. These services include assistance with applying for a Finnish work and residence permit.

Arrival and getting to accommodation
Metacore pays for your flights and two checked luggages per traveler. We will also cover the transportation costs from the airport to your first accommodation in Helsinki.

Support for temporary accommodation for the first 6 months
You are also entitled to housing arranged by Metacore for the first six months after your arrival in Helsinki. Metacore covers part of your accommodation as a taxable benefit.

Settling in Helsinki
After you arrive in Helsinki, we’ll continue to support you with settling into Helsinki through certain relocation assistance services. These services include, for example, support with opening a bank account and managing local tax and social security matters.
We know you probably want to stay connected to your friends and family from the get-go. On your first day at Metacore, we will provide you with a phone and a phone plan.

Finding long-term accommodation and schools
We know that finding a permanent flat or the right school for your kids can be a bit overwhelming, which is why our third party relocation service partner can also offer hands-on help with both of these.

Healthcare
Metacore offers employees comprehensive occupational health care services including both occupational health appointments and specialist consultations upon referral. Family members are covered by Finland’s basic health care system, which is publicly funded and organized by municipalities.

Learning Finnish or Swedish
Did you know that Finland has two official languages? And while English is widely spoken, a little Finnish or Swedish will get you far, especially when dealing with things related to housing and bureaucracy. This is why we’ll also support you in learning Finnish or Swedish so that you can feel even more at home in your new city.
