First, we review your application
Our Talent Acquisition team personally reviews every application. If we believe you have potential for the open role, we’ll reach out to set up the first interview. If we decide not to continue with your application at this point, we’ll let you know as well.

Interview with our Talent Acquisition Team
You will have your first interview with our Talent Acquisition Team. In this discussion, we’ll introduce Metacore and the role, talk about your past experience, current situation and motivation, and give you a chance to ask any questions you might have about Metacore, the role or our culture.
Meet your manager
Interview with your future manager
We will arrange a meeting with your potential future manager. You will get an introduction to the specific team and role in more detail. This is your chance to see if this role and Metacore are the right fit for your career goals. Together, we will explore what you could bring to the team and Metacore, supporting both your growth and our needs now and in the long term.
Skills & Craft
Show off your particular set(s) of skills
This part of the process is your chance to showcase your skills in action, whether through a take-home assignment, a case interview, or a technical discussion, depending on the role. You’ll receive instructions beforehand, and you’re encouraged to ask questions if anything is unclear. After the assignment or interview, we’ll provide feedback along with next steps.

Meet some of your future colleagues
Collaboration, within and across teams, is at the heart of how we work at Metacore. In this stage, you might have one or more interviews with your future colleagues. This can include a competence interview with people from your craft as well as a conversation with collaborators outside your immediate team, giving you a broader sense of how we work together across Metacore.

The timing of feedback and next steps can vary depending on the role and the stage of the process. After each step, we aim to get back to you as quickly as possible, but the overall hiring process can take some time.
If it’s been a while since your interview, don’t worry – your application is still under review, and we’ll reach out as soon as there’s an update.
Some roles are open for just a couple of weeks, while others may stay open for several months or even year-round. This is because we keep our positions open until we find the right match, and in some cases we may hire several people for a certain role.
Yes! If your skills and interests align with multiple roles, you’re welcome to apply for more than one position.
Sometimes we hire multiple people for the same role, whether in one location or across both Helsinki and Berlin. Other times, we hire for a single role that may be location-specific or open to either city.
This is your chance to gain insights that others in the process might not have shared. You can ask anything, for example, about our ways of working, the company’s direction, or broader topics about Metacore. Be sure to think about questions in advance!

Yes we do! It’s called Press Play, our trainee program for emerging talent who are eager to enter the game industry.
We’ll announce on our website and on our social media when the next Press Play application period is starting, along with the roles that will open.
Depending on the role you are applying for, we offer extensive relocation support to the city where your job is based. In some cases you can make your pick between Helsinki or Berlin. Wherever you're coming from, whether you're joining us on your own or with your family, we’ll guide you through it all.
