Economy Designer plays a key role in designing and balancing the core and feature-level game economy to enable us to provide a great player experience for Merge Mansion’s ever-expanding player base. In practice, this means (at least) the following:

  • Taking ownership of Merge Mansion’s economy for (new and existing) features, and designing and balancing features’ economy

  • Analyzing the progression systems of the game and using data to optimize the game economy

  • Developing predictive simulations to anticipate outcomes following content modifications

  • Supporting fellow game designers in creating economies for new features

  • Working together with Product Managers in translating high-level business metrics into game economy ones


Every role is eventually shaped to match our unique passions, backgrounds and strengths. Here are some of the key skills and experience you should already have when joining Metacore as a Economy Designer, Merge Mansion:

  • Several years of experience as a Game Designer, with a focus on economy design

  • A background in working with live mobile games

  • Good grasp of game economy balancing in F2P games and its impact on game progression

  • Hands-on experience in A/B testing and a strong knowledge in spreadsheets

  • Logical thinking and a systematic approach to solving problems, complemented nicely by your passion for working with numbers and analyzing data

  • Basic understanding of analyzing key data with the ability to request certain visualization from the data team and comprehend statistical results

In addition to these, it would be nice but not mandatory for you to have these as well:

  • Previous experience with Unity

  • Previous experience in Data Analysis
