Responsibilities

Backend Programmer plays a key role in building the game backends and services, including tools and platforms at Metacore, and ensuring they are efficient, secure and scalable too. In practice, this means (at least) the following:

  • Designing, implementing, and testing game backend and services functionality for multiple mobile games simultaneously using C# and .Net

  • Driving feature implementation from design to deployment, as well as monitoring, maintaining and keeping them up to date

  • Making sure that game backends and services are all stable, secure, efficient, and scale well

  • Integrating other external services to our backends and services

  • Tuning and maintaining the global size of database systems

Requirements

Every role is eventually shaped to match our unique passions, backgrounds and strengths. Here are some of the key skills and experience you should already have when joining Metacore as a Backend Programmer:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant programming experiences topped with strong C# programming skills with .Net, and familiarity with NoSQL and SQL

  • Knowing your way around Docker and AWS

  • Understanding of multi-tenancy architecture for backend and microservices

  • Comfortable with debugging, profiling, and performance optimizations and you also have previous project experience under your belt

  • Know-how to build and operate scalable applications for a large mass of simultaneous users

  • Commitment to code quality, documentation and testing procedures

  • Smooth communication and teamwork skills to round it all up
