Lead Economy Designer

We are looking for a Lead Economy Designer to take ownership of overlooking designing and balancing the core and feature-level game economy for Merge Mansion. You’ll play a key role in enabling us to provide a great player experience for our ever-expanding global audience. In this role, you’ll mentor and coach a team of Economy Designers, helping them develop their craft. Through broader game economy topics and learnings from Merge Mansion and its competitors, you’ll bring holistic insights to improve our game and stay ahead of industry trends.

Responsibilities
- Developing and refining the game economy strategy and vision
- Establishing best practices for designing, balancing, modeling, measuring impact, and monitoring economy systems
- Overseeing the overall game economy health and identifying areas for improvement to maximize engagement, retention, and revenue
- Managing the onboarding and training of Economy Designers, mentoring them, developing their skills, and providing feedback to support their professional growth
- Collaborating with the Data team to design game economy reports and dashboards, ensuring all stakeholders are informed about the game economy and its KPIs.
- Collaborating with the Product team to define KPIs related to the game economy and estimate the impact of changes
- Contributing to the overall game strategy by providing valuable economy insights
- Acting as the Recruitment Manager for future needs of the team
Requirements
- Several years of experience in Game Economy
- Proven leadership and mentorship skills, with experience guiding and developing a team of Economy Designers
- Ability to deduce insights related to game economy from multiple data points
- Strong understanding of the impact of game economy health on the growth of a F2P mobile game
- Ability to clearly present complex game economy topics to broader audiences
- Solid grasp of game economy balancing in F2P games and its impact on game progression
- Experience modeling game economy features and simulating potential scenarios for different player segments
- Logical thinking and a systematic approach to problem-solving, complemented by a passion for working with numbers and analyzing data
In addition to these, it would be nice but not mandatory for you to have some of these as well:
- Familiarity with Unity
- Experience in Data Analysis
- Background in game design
