We are looking for an experienced LiveOps QA Specialist to help us ensure the quality and reliability of our in-game LiveOps features. You’ll be collaborating closely with LiveOps, QA and Development teams in testing LiveOps configurations, in-game events, promotional offers, and time-sensitive updates to ultimately deliver a seamless player experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting manual testing for LiveOps features such as in-game events, limited-time offers, and seasonal promotions
  • Verifying server-side and client-side configurations for live content to ensure correct functionality and performance
  • Testing new content integration and configurations, ensuring appropriate balancing and localisation
  • Validation of A/B testing setups for LiveOps events and features
  • Development of comprehensive test plans and cases to ensure the game covers all aspects, from initial design to final release
  • Effective use of existing solutions and collaboration with developers to ensure comprehensive test coverage, identifying gaps and optimising accordingly
  • Close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure thorough testing of live features and providing feedback on potential risks or issues during the LiveOps deployment process
  • Developing and documenting test cases and QA workflows tailored to LiveOps needs
  • Optimising testing processes to accommodate the fast-paced nature of live updates

Requirements

  • An understanding of technical tools and frameworks to identify better opportunities for leveraging automation and other testing solutions
  • Strong background in manual QA testing, including hands-on experience with black-box testing, functional testing, and exploratory testing.
  • Basic knowledge of programming and familiarity with tools like Unity, GitHub, and continuous integration systems
  • Knowledge of server-side and client-side QA processes, especially for LiveOps content
  • Ability to analyse complex systems, identify areas for improvement, and prioritise testing efforts effectively
  • Proactive and service-oriented approach to resolving issues in high-pressure, live environments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills needed for effective collaboration with developers, designers, and other stakeholders

In addition to these, it would be nice but not mandatory for you to have these as well:

  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks
  • Background in mobile game development or LiveOps is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment pipelines
  • Proven experience in driving QA process improvements and influencing team workflows
