Audio Designer

We are looking for a creative Audio Designer to elevate our in-game audio experience by crafting immersive and high-quality sound design for Merge Mansion and upcoming titles. You’ll play a key role in enhancing the player experience through your creative approach to the design and implementation of sounds. You will also collaborate closely with the Audio Lead and cross-disciplinary teams to integrate sounds seamlessly into our games.

Responsibilities
- Creating and implementing high-quality sound design assets for Merge Mansion and upcoming titles, including audio for events, environments, items and props, while adhering to the established style and technical requirements
- Ensuring overall consistency of the in-game audio assets, to fit with both the game and the company brands
- Collaborating closely with the Audio Lead to understand the vision and requirements for the games’ audio assets
- Working together with programmers, animators, narrative designers and artists to integrate audio assets into the game engine, troubleshooting any technical issues that arise
- Maintaining audio asset libraries and documentation where necessary
- Contributing to the creative processes of the outsourcing agencies and partners by participating in brainstorming, providing feedback on work, and assessing results
- Continuously striving to improve workflows, pipelines, and ways of working
- Staying updated on industry trends, tools, and techniques, continuously enhancing your skills and knowledge to deliver cutting-edge audio experiences
Requirements
- Prior experience as an audio designer for games, preferably in the mobile game industry
- Proficiency in Reaper (or similar DAW); sound design, mixing, voice recording and editing, music editing
- Proficiency with middleware and audio implementation
- Good knowledge of Unity or equivalent
- Effective time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-disciplinary team
- Good understanding of game sound philosophies and storytelling
- Excellent communication skills, effectively articulating thoughts and questions to ensure clarity and understanding in decision-making processes
