Responsibilities

Technical Artist plays a key role in innovating game art pipelines and improving visuals from a technical perspective to enable us to expand the game world of our titles. In practice, this means (at least) the following:

  • Developing and iterating on the Art pipeline

  • Identifying areas for technical art improvement, and helping foresight issues with different solutions

  • Creating scalable solutions for expanding the game world of our titles

  • Collaborating with Artists, Designers and Developers, to build intuitive tools

  • Driving visual improvements from the perspective of technical art

  • Implementing in-game art

Requirements

Every role is eventually shaped to match our unique passions, backgrounds and strengths. Here are some of the key skills and experience you should already have when joining Metacore as a Technical Artist:

  • Previous experience working as a technical artist and a good understanding of the technologies used in game development, especially graphics and tools

  • Knack for troubleshooting and solving tricky technical problems as well as anticipating issues that might emerge when operating a live game product

  • Strong Unity skills – you’re quick to digest existing code and feel comfortable using it

  • Proactive self-starter with a high sense of ownership

  • Strong interpersonal skills that enables you to cooperate with different people

  • Excellent English which you’re comfortable using in daily work, and good communication skills all round
