Motion Designer plays a key role in developing engaging video content and animations to enable us to effectively promote our games. In practice, this means (at least) the following:

  • Collaborating with the the marketing and the game teams to develop video concepts and storyboards that align with the game's art and design direction

  • Editing and animating gameplay footage, trailers, teasers, and other promotional videos and animations using industry-standard video editing and animation software

  • Ensuring videos are optimized for various platforms, including social media, websites, and game stores

  • Working closely with the marketing team to understand and implement video content strategies to effectively promote our games

  • Simultaneously managing multiple projects and adhering to project timelines and milestones

  • Participating in team meetings and contributing ideas for improving video content quality and effectiveness

  • Developing (e.g. automating), organize and documenting workflows to improve transparency and efficiency of marketing video production


Here are some of the key skills and experience you should already have when joining Metacore as a Motion Designer:

  • Well versed in video editing and animation, and a good understanding of the craft in the context of game environments

  • Fluent in video editing and animation software like Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop, as well as experience working with Unity and capturing gameplay

  • A deep understanding of video production techniques, including editing, motion graphics, visual effects, and sound implementation

  • Knowledge of narrative storytelling and the ability to bring stories to life through video

  • Familiarity with gaming culture and trends to create videos that resonate with the target audience

  • Ability to analyze data and expose hypotheses to create video finalized to re-engage the players

  • Top-notch communication and organizational skills to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders

  • Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with video editing and animation trends

In addition to these, it would be nice but not mandatory for you to have these as well:

  • Skills and experience in 3D animation, 3D modeling and rendering
