Responsibilities
DevOps Engineer plays a key role in developing and managing infrastructure and processes to enable our game teams to scale and support high-volume backend services. In practice, this means (at least) the following:
Managing high-volume game backends and infrastructure on AWS—including implementation, monitoring, operating and troubleshooting
Being responsible for scaling, developing and automating the infrastructure, and build- and release processes for game teams
Helping the development teams to operate their services
Developing and improving the functionality and security of cloud infrastructure via means of automation
Requirements
Every role is eventually shaped to match our unique passions, backgrounds and strengths. Here are some of the key skills and experience you should already have when joining Metacore as a DevOps Engineer:
At least 3 years of experience in DevOps, Operations or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles
Ability to support game teams with infrastructure and application build- and deployment processes—so things run smoothly
Deep understanding of what it takes to scale and support high-volume backend services
Experience on running production workloads in Amazon Web Services and with Kubernetes (EKS) or other container technologies
Thorough knowledge of infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and Linux system administration
Adept in building, providing support and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and release processes
Ability to develop automation scripts with commonly used languages—e.g. Bash, Python
Top-notch problem-solving skills and high team spirits topped with a can do attitude
